Awie, an independent 'paper-insertion expert' (self-proclaim), distributed 5,000 copies of my flyers in Berita Minggu & Mingguan Malaysia in USJ.

The result? ; ONE parent called me, Puan Rosliza.

Well, it was still BETTER than previous one. Little by little.

10,000 Flyers Distribution with SBS (back dated Dec 23 2009)

After 10 days of 10,000 flyers distribution in USJ, by SBS, no one call me. Not even ONE. Funny...i really wonder why.

Location (back dated Oct 31 2009)

I asked permission from Kak Fatimah, to use her husband's 'rarely-used' office in USJ3, for my Centre, she happily agreed.

She & her husband was so nice. I was very glad.

Music

I always love heavy metal or thrash music, and I'm still listen to Metallica & Cromok. I love them all. And this song, i tried to 'modernized' the arrangement, so it would not sound as 'old-school' of 80's metal/hard rock song.

Btw, this song was my answer to Dewa 19's 'Pangeran Cinta'.

Understandably, my voice was 'not so suitable' for this kind of song. And yet it was very hard to find a rock-vocalist who had same vocal range as me. Plus my eagerness to publish this song, so i just take chance(risk?) to sing it myself.

Lyric.

I invited my best friend, Romizi from Dhuat to sing the zikr part. I love it. It is almost like nasyid, except it was blended with heavy guitar riffing. I think Romizi can relate with the song, as he is also a 'pro-Mujahiddeen'.

The video

This video created for Lebanese singer, Maher Zin. I always love to tell story in song, as it does stimulate most senses ; audio, sight , & heart. And this video was perfectly fit the song.

The Interview : Science & Math Institute (Part 1)

Q1: So how does Ur school contribute to society?

My school, other than academic excellence, particularly in science, has contribute in innovations & experiments in science. Like astronomy, chemical, engineering, etc. We had to encourage not only in left-brain abilities, but also in right-brain activities ; curiosity & creativity. We would like to contribute to the world with this, Insya-Allah.



Q2 : A lot of tuition centers, science oriented or not, and science school, both government & private institution, are so much on the market right now. How U see your institution differently from other. How do U compete?

This is good question. It is very hard for me to answer. The question is like ; 'why U have to play guitar, whereas there is so much musician/guitarist out there'?

My answer would be ; 'simply because i love play guitar'.

Quite the contrary, instead of competition, i see my school as a 'adding value' to the world of education. For me, the private institution for science is still relatively new in Malaysia.

I maybe naive, but what i want is just ordinary private science institution, only with inspiring standards. And I more comfortable thinking and focusing on within , (ie what can i do to make it better), than without (ie how can i beat them).

Competition is irrelevant question, at least for now.

Aku pernah berjumpa dgn bidadari suatu masa dulu. Sepertimana biasa, aku juga ngak mengerti liriknya, terlalu abstrak gitu. Munkin maksudnya 'keindahan itu sendiri yg merindui aku'. Wah, agak narcisism di situ hehe. Mungkin ego. Mungkin, lebih tepat, aku sendiri yg 'merindui' keindahan itu sendiri... yg mana ia lebih biasa.

Lagu ini kurang komersil dibandingkan dgn 'Sesuatu', tapi melodi dan chord lagu ini sungguh mendalam, dan aku ada rase agak lega kerana punyai keberanian untuk menerbitkan lagu yg tidak seberapa ini. Terimakasih kepada diri sendiri.

Entah. People often asked how I write the lyric, and as always, I couldnt answer. But I think the lyric of the song was quite straight forward ; longing, searching, missing of something. 'Something' that 'captured' my heart...jiwang pulak.

Aku sebenarnya bukanlah seorang yg romantik. Tapi aku bisa menyimpan dan salurkan perasaan romantik itu menjadi sebuah lagu. Aku akui, aku tak berapa pandai menulis lirik, ataupun menyanyi, kerana kelebihan ku yg utama adalah mencipta melodi dan lagu. Aku percaya lagu yg bagus akan tetap kedengaran sedap walaupun tanpa senikata, hanya na na na bersama gitar kapok.

The Song
The music inspired from a mixture of "This Love" (Maroon 5), and "How Many Miles to Babylon" (Yngwie Malmsteen). I attempted to write a funky yet heavy song, and this is the result.

The synthesizer in the middle & the end was heavily influenced from Dewa 19.



The Lyrics
To be honest, I'm not quite comprehend what was Cpol trying to say here(maybe he can drop a comment here). But I do understand the 'feel' of the lyrics, (like something BIG and mysterious), which resulted me to do the 'Tsunami' video.
