Journalism

I never have a thought, or having interest in journalism. I don't like writing, and not good at it. But one thing that never fail to catch my attention : an interview with successful/establish people.

I always run-out of idea to write in my blog (www.sajakiri.com), and doing interview seems easy and interesting.
Wise man said "it's not what U do, but with WHO U do". It's a great wisdom. Our friend reflect our inner self. Successful people loves to be friend with another successful people too.

So, I want to be successful, so i gotta find them. And learn from them.

They are the people who 'been there, done there' it before. There is abundance of wisdom in their experience.
And I would love to hear live from them.

Hadiah Lagu

People often make cakes, and put their loved ones names on it. But how about song? How about if U can put your loves one names, as part of lyrics of the song? is it nice?

I had this idea ringing in my head since a year ago. I don't know whether this is good idea or not. I asked around, but nobody had done it before.

Should I start?

Of course, we are not starting from scratch, as the song is ready, just re-record the 'custom lyrics' on it. That simple.

The project is suitable for wedding videography, birthday song, tribute, etc.

FOCUS ON WINNING

This is like an article from motivational guru. But indeed this is like a reminder from myself, to myself.

Most people focus on their effort to survive, not thrive. But i think it is not harder to focus on thrive. Perhaps it takes less time and effort too. And of course result too.

Yeah. It sound too easy. What makes its harder is to stay focus. On winning.

Life is full of distraction. Aware on unaware, it will capture us. The best way is to stay away from it. Let the problem take care of itself.

Eventually, if we keep doing and focus on winning, the so-called problem would disappear.

Winning is not hard. To stay focus is.

Surihani : A Sad, or Happy Song?

When I wrote this song, the original tempo was 130 with 4/4 counting. Quite fast & catchy. Happy song with a blooming flowers. But after (series of heartbroken) that, I changed the tempo to 75 with 3/4 counting. Suddenly the song getting attention from my bandmate, friends and family.

Why?

Tranquility. Peaceful. Sadly happy (there is such word?). Sayu kegembiraan.

Still, if U listen to the song, it can go either way. U can imagine it's a happy wedding song, (suitable for videography). Yet U can imagine it's a sad song, a black & white memories of long lost love.

For me, I rather let the listener decide their own imagination. It will reveal your deepest hope, or regret.

Add Math Tutor

I love teaching Add Math. I even have site for it :AddMathTutor.com and its FB . Particularly to the students that have interest in Math, they like my class very much. Thank U.

One-to-one home tuition is quite relaxing job, and relatively higher pay per hour, compare with tuition center rate. Ya, the rate a bit low, but the satisfaction of teaching in a classroom is more. A bit tiring, but more fun.

I have an intention to start my own tuition center soon, Insyallah. I have wonderful friend cum teammate to start with; Azizul & Hafizul; both are best tutor in their own field.

We want to name it as "Science & Math Institute". Amin.

SongPromotion 2

For Surihani, I am using FB Adverts to advertise. On first day, I got (30 Likes on fb/sajakiri) within 15 minutes. But I reach my Daily Limit within that 15 minutes time. This is reasonably good result. And we'll see whether we need to increase the allocation, after one month experimenting with this.

Other than that I might use Advertorial Advertising in popular blog such as Oh!Media, BeautifulNara or Murai.com. This is like to pay them to write article/blog, about our product offering.

There is a evolution in our marketing. In yesteryears, we used to rely heavily on gatekeepers for approval; media or labels. But now, thanks to Internet, we can direct our own potential customer, partner or fans.

This is tedious work, but I am sure it's worthwhile.

SongPromotion

I learn in a hard way. My failure with my previous band, TuLanG, speaks it all. We don't have a fan base, yet we over relying to 'the strength of the song' to make it. Of course it doesn't.

No matter how good your product, U got to find customers. No one enter competition (radio airplay in our case) without a customer, or fan. Vice-versa, if U have strong fan-base, any new product will make an impact; either good or bad way.

Lesson learnt. What will I do differently? I still learning, anyway. My latest single Surihani will not go to radio so soon. I want to market & create awareness in internet first. To create my 'own fan base' first.

Wish me luck.

SongWriting

Salam.

Writing words seems so much harder than writing song. At least for me.

Tomorrow will be my "Surihani" song launching. Thank U to MegaHanz Hani for your support.

It's been a while i haven't write &arrange song. Compare to last year, almost once a month I will post new songs to facebook.com/sajakiri.

I've found that idea for songwriting is more rare, but when its strike a chord, it only takes 5 minutes. But arranging & producing can take several weeks, or perhaps months.

And writing & arranging are two different animal. The latter is more mentally challenging, time consuming and daunting. The former is more unpredictable.

Find God

A guru was once asked by confused disciple, "Master, how can I become a good person?"

The guru said, "It's nearly impossible. If you think deeply, there are thousand reason to pick a pin up from the floor and a thousand reason no to".

The disciple became very worried. "Then what can I do?".

The guru smiled, "Find God".

Now the disciple was much more worried. "But, sir, finding God seems so far beyond my reach."

The guru shook his head, "Finding God is a hundred times easier than trying to be good. God is a part of you, and once you locate that part, being good comes naturally.."
