Menulis

Aku menulis bukan untuk dibaca kembali. Aku cuma seronok melihat perenggan demi perenggan disusun kemas. Aku juga suka bila Bahasa Melayu ku ditulis sebegini skema dan baku. Walaupun aku memang tiada apa-apa idea.

Band

Tentang Band, lagu seterusnya untuk dirakam adalah lagu Pelangi. Mungkin akan diarrange oleh Patrick Tan. Disamping harga yang begitu menarik, terasa begitu lega apabila lagu diarenj oleh orang lain. Terimakasih.

Lagi 2 minggu, Didie akan mengajak rakan-rakannya untuk jam lagu-lagu Sajakiri. Ini lagi satu perkembangan menarik. Diharap kami akan bergerak sebagai live band yang berjaya selepas ini, Insyallah.

Terasa ingin buat video unplugged, nyanyi live dari V-cam.

Cuba Lagi

Alhamdulillah. Aku sukakan lay out yang panjang sebegini. Terasa begitu lega. Kekadang aku dapat merasakan adanya urge untuk menulis (taip) sebenarnya. Teringat zaman muda-muda dulu, selalu rasa 'urge' untuk bermain gitar, seolah-olah gitar memanggil aku. Lalu diciptakan lagu baru di di situ. Rasa macam ada sama, walaupun menulis bukanlah 'passion' sebenarnya, berbanding dengan penciptaan lagu.

Tiada cerita baru di sini. Walaupun terasa ingin menulis sesuatu.

Selamat Hari Abah

Salam semua. Sempena Hari Bapa ini, aku ingin dedikasikan satu artikel mengenai pengaruh abah dalam penghasilan karyaku.

Dari kecil lagi (bayi), abahku sudah suka memasang vinyl dan kaset lagu-lagu Rainbow dan Deep Purple. Takisah la. Asalkan mesti ada Ritchie Blackmore. Lebih kepada rock zaman 70-an dan 80-an. Aku masa itu taklah faham sangat, tapi aku mula terangsang dengar bunyi distortion gitar.

Pastu masa lewat 80-an, abahku meminati rockapak melayu. Paling dia suka Wings. Aku pun masa itu baru akil baligh mula minat sekali. Pastu aku berangan nak main gitar utama dalam Band Rock.

Pada tahun 1991 (aku 12 tahun), abahku membelikan gitar kayu ku yang pertama di Ampang Park. Brand Fair Lady. RM120.

Sebelum itu lagi abah aku dah belikan organ 80-an, yang macam John Lord punya. Aku mula-mula tak lah minat nak main. Tapi lepas belajar gitar, baru terasa nak belajar.

Tapi itu ajelah instrument abah aku belikan.

Pada mulanya abah aku nampak macam bersungguh nak support aku main muzik. Tapi lepas aku dah pandai main & mula ada band, dia pun dah jadi macam malas nak bersungguh.

Btw abah aku ni memang pandai main muzik jugak.

Lepas itu abah aku dah macam marah-marah bila aku kerap main muzik. Yang paling aku ingat :

• dia larang aku gi jamming lepas aku jam dengan senior
• dia marah aku main gitar subuh2 (lepas solat subuh la)
• dia dah stop main muzik depan aku

Aku masa itu agak terkesan. Sebab aku ingatkan dia akan bangga. Tapi dia buat dek aje.

Sampailah satu hari itu aku main keybord lagu "Runaway", baru dia puji sikit. Itu pun dia cuma cakap kat mak aku.

Itupun aku dah happy.

Haha. Emo la aku ni.

Tapi aku tau darah muzik ni dari abah aku. Terimakasih abah sebab darah ni.

Music Producer

I always love to produce music. Producing music includes composition, arrangement, recording, instrumentation, mixing and mastering.

The producer can involve one or more of the process above. OR NONE at all. 

Truly, the REAL work of a producer is to 'oversee' the whole project/song, at a larger scale.

In my case, my passion mostly on composition & arrangement, and a bit of instrumentation (as i can play guitar, bass & keyboard). The engineering process, such as recording, mixing and mastering definitely are not my forte (including singing hehe).

It seems that I enjoying more in the creative process of song production.

Journalism

I never have a thought, or having interest in journalism. I don't like writing, and not good at it. But one thing that never fail to catch my attention : an interview with successful/establish people.

I always run-out of idea to write in my blog (www.sajakiri.com), and doing interview seems easy and interesting.

Wise man said "it's not what U do, but with WHO U do". It's a great wisdom. Our friend reflect our inner self. Successful people loves to be friend with another successful people too.

So, I want to be successful, so i gotta find them. And learn from them.

They are the people who 'been there, done there' it before. There is abundance of wisdom in their experience. 

And I would love to hear live from them.

Hadiah Lagu

People often make cakes, and put their loved ones names on it. But how about song? How about if U can put your loves one names, as part of lyrics of the song? is it nice?

I had this idea ringing in my head since a year ago. I don't know whether this is good idea or not. I asked around, but nobody had done it before.

Should I start?

Of course, we are not starting from scratch, as the song is ready, just re-record the 'custom lyrics' on it. That simple.

The project is suitable for wedding videography, birthday song, tribute, etc.

FOCUS ON WINNING

This is like an article from motivational guru. But indeed this is like a reminder from myself, to myself.

Most people focus on their effort to survive, not thrive. But i think it is not harder to focus on thrive. Perhaps it takes less time and effort too. And of course result too.

Yeah. It sound too easy. What makes its harder is to stay focus. On winning.

Life is full of distraction. Aware on unaware, it will capture us. The best way is to stay away from it. Let the problem take care of itself.

Eventually, if we keep doing and focus on winning, the so-called problem would disappear.

Winning is not hard. To stay focus is.

Surihani : A Sad, or Happy Song?

When I wrote this song, the original tempo was 130 with 4/4 counting. Quite fast & catchy. Happy song with a blooming flowers. But after (series of heartbroken) that, I changed the tempo to 75 with 3/4 counting. Suddenly the song getting attention from my bandmate, friends and family.

Why?

Tranquility. Peaceful. Sadly happy (there is such word?). Sayu kegembiraan.

Still, if U listen to the song, it can go either way. U can imagine it's a happy wedding song, (suitable for videography). Yet U can imagine it's a sad song, a black & white memories of long lost love.

For me, I rather let the listener decide their own imagination. It will reveal your deepest hope, or regret.

Add Math Tutor

I love teaching Add Math. I even have site for it :AddMathTutor.com and its FB . Particularly to the students that have interest in Math, they like my class very much. Thank U.

One-to-one home tuition is quite relaxing job, and relatively higher pay per hour, compare with tuition center rate. Ya, the rate a bit low, but the satisfaction of teaching in a classroom is more. A bit tiring, but more fun.

I have an intention to start my own tuition center soon, Insyallah. I have wonderful friend cum teammate to start with; Azizul & Hafizul; both are best tutor in their own field.

We want to name it as "Science & Math Institute". Amin.
